We will began our tour in our base, Knarrarholt. Then we will head off to the National Park, Þingvellir (Thingvellir) is a historic site and national park in Iceland, east of Reykjavík. It’s known for the Alþing (Althing), the site of Iceland’s parliament from the 10th to 18th centuries. On the site are the Þingvellir Church and the ruins of old stone shelters. The park sits in a rift valley caused by the separation of 2 tectonic plates, with rocky cliffs and fissures like the huge Almannagjá fault.
Then we will take a look at Strokkur is a fountain geyser located in a geothermal area beside the Hvítá River in Iceland in the southwest part of the country, east of Reykjavík. It is one of Iceland’s most famous geysers, erupting once every 6–10 minutes.
After a nice walk to the stunning Geysir we will drive to Gullfoss that is a waterfall located in the canyon of Olfusa river in southwest Iceland. Gullfoss is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Iceland.
After a nice walk to Gullfoss we will head off in our super jeep and look for a snow to drive on.
